Easter is a time for family, colour, and sweet traditions — and what better way to celebrate than with this vibrant, festive Easter Wreath Bread?
This lightly sweet, soft braided bread is inspired by European classics like Tsoureki (Greece), Cozonac (Romania), and Kozunak (Bulgaria), each symbolising renewal and togetherness. Our version includes a wholesome twist with Juice Plus Complete Vanilla, and is topped with colourful sprinkles and bright Easter eggs for a centrepiece-worthy treat the whole family will love.

Ingredients
+ 3 boiled and coloured eggs
+ 1 fresh egg (for egg wash)
+ 600g plain flour
+ 1.5 tbsp (approx. 50g) Juice Plus Complete Vanilla
+ 60ml maple syrup
+ 6 tbsp coconut oil
+ 125ml oat milk
+ 150g coconut yoghurt
+ 1 tsp vanilla powder or vanilla essence
+ 15g baking powder
+ Coloured sprinkles
Directions
- Prepare the Eggs Boil and colour 3 eggs, then set aside.
- Preheat Oven Preheat your oven to 190°C (fan-forced if possible).
- Mix Dry Ingredients In a large bowl, combine the flour, Complete Vanilla, vanilla powder, and baking powder.
- Add Wet Ingredients Stir in the oat milk, coconut yoghurt, coconut oil, and maple syrup or honey. Mix until well combined.
- Knead the Dough Knead the dough by hand or using a dough hook for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Rest the Dough Let the dough sit for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Shape the Wreath Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces. Roll each into a long rope, then braid them together. Shape the braid into a wreath and pinch the ends to connect.
- Add Foil Eggs Form 3 small egg shapes from foil and nestle them into the dough wreath to make space for the real eggs later.
- Second Rest Let the wreath sit for another 15 minutes.
- Decorate Brush with egg wash (a beaten egg with a splash of water), then sprinkle with coloured sprinkles.
- Bake Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
-
Cool & Finish Let the bread cool completely, then swap the foil eggs for your coloured boiled eggs.
